Repeal of Blasphemy laws and Election on 80 reserved seats in National Assembly of Pakistan.
Pakistan Christian Congress PCC appeals to sign this petition for religious freedom in Pakistan
Petition to put pressure on government of Pakistan to repeal blasphemy law and Election on Reserved Seats for Minorities and Women:
It will be surprising to note that 10 reserved seats for minorities and 60 reserved seats for women in National Assembly of Pakistan are mockery to constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan and against true spirit of democracy.
Article 226, of Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan very clearly says; "All elections under the Constitution, other than those of the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister, shall be by secret ballot"
There are only 272 seats of National Assembly of Pakistan which are elected by voters under Article 226, of Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan while 10 reserved seats of minorities and 60 reserved seats for women are Selected by Muslim political parties in House violating democratic and constitutional means.
Therefore, House of 342 of National Assembly of Pakistan can not be true democratic in which 80 reserved seats are added through unconstitutional means and any legislation or amendment in Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan can not be termed as vaild voted by 80 undemocratic and uncontitutional selected members.
PCC appeals your honor to ask government of Pakistan to declare Election on all 342 seats of National Assembly of Pakistan under franchise vote in forthcoming national general elections of 2013.
The Election by secret ballot under article 226, will end corrouption to prevail transperency and democracy as Muslim political leaders recieve millions of rupees bribes to fill these 80 reserved seats or select their relatives on these seats.
Repeal of Blasphemy laws:
The rising violence on pretext to blasphemy laws of Pakistan against Christians, Hindus, Sikhs, Ahmadiyyia and Shia Muslims requirs special attention as it is an alraming bell for human right defenders in USA and compagianers of religious freedom.
There are major incidents of violence in Punjab province of Pakistan against religious minorities of Pakistan where banned terrorists outfits are openly working in different new names and fully protected by ruling Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Group PML(N) in Punjab.
These terrorists of banned orgnization using Punjab province as safe heaven are killing innocent people of other sects in Balochistan, Sindh and Gilgit-Baltistan provinces of Pakistan and openly claiming responsibities of their terror acts but never arrested or brought to justice in Pakistan.
PCC have filed many memorandums with Election Commission of Pakistan and government of Pakistan to ensure Elections instead of Selection on 80 reserved seats but due consideration is never awarded while there are petition pending on Article 226 of constitution of Islamic Republic in Supreme Court of Pakistan SCP since 2010.
Therefore, we appeal your honors to condition US aid to Pakistan on true democracy and human rights which are being violated under Selection on 80 reserved seats and misus
