If you really want to get serious about Cyber security you need to substantially reduce H1 visas from foreign countries. I am an American citizen who just happens to work in the information technology field. I am amazed that the US government allows workers from foreign countries to work in such sensitive areas of technology such as managing our server infrastructure for all types of companies including banks, Wall Street and government agencies. The notion that the information technology jobs can be outsourced is insane. This like allowing the fox to protect the chicken coop. Many of these foreign workers have a hatred of America and have definitely have no allegiance to USA. It is time the American government wakes up and stop trying to placate countries whose interest is only to them themselves. Raymond Martinez

As long as a SINGLE American is out of work, this program should be illegal. It is a wage devouring device and NOTHING else.

Congress has spent the better part of 25 years destroying American Businesses and sending companies overseas will all of their regulations and the highest tax rate among industrialized countries. Now, as their first act, the Republicans are going to help foreigners obtainn the best jobs available in America. These jobs will be filled by foreigners willing to work for less. How about ending the H1B Visa program? This is disgusting. How about protecting the American Worker?

H1B as it is being implemented is not about bringing over the brightest tech talent.

The excuse that there are not enough Tech savvy employees in the US to increase the numbers of HB1 visas is ridiculous and a flat out lie, used by mostly Republican who cave in to Corporate lobbyist pressure. It needs to stop now.

About 30% of the new hires at the company I was just released from are H1-Visa holders. If they hadn't been hiring so many employees with H1 Visas I would still have a job in the high tech industry and I was a top performer.

H1b should only be given to speciality occupation and I assume that's what its purpose is. But right now H1B is allocated any kind of IT job (for e.g. software QA). I don't think software QA is speciality occupation. Someone with decent enough knowledge of IT development and testing process can work as Software QA. It does not require amazing software knowledge. This is just one example but there are many such fields which are described as speciality occupation for h1b but in reality they are not. Most companies take advantage of unclear definition of speciality occupation.

Rand Paul, Ted Cruz and Rubio are running for President and yet they all push for more H1B visas. They are either running for the wrong party or maybe the wrong country.

The H-1B visa system has been abused so badly by tech companies in the name of "STEM shortage" - a premise completely and effectively debunked by systematic studies - that now American workers are being replaced in significant numbers. The only aim was to keep wages down and we are seeing that in practice now. Also, the resulting age discrimination in the tech industry is causing grade damage to families and the country. Stop the H-1B system and certainly do not increase it...

I am an IT professional with 20 years experience. I was forced to leave the country to find work, due to companies passing me over for H1B visa indians, and the indian IT-recruiting mafia. Even working with them was HELL, as they had NO IDEA how to do their job - they were just trying to learn on the job. A study showed that almost HALF (48%) of H1B visa candidates LIED about their education/experience to get the visa. STOP THIS SCAM, NOW. BEFORE ITS TOO LATE.
