Now is the time to drain the swamp of ALL entitlements. Congress has no right to be treated as royalty in this country and do not deserve anything more than what the citizens receive.

I agree - why can't we have those perks! If they get it, we should get it. No wonder they spend so much money to get elected! All these perks plus a generous salary. Some thing really stinks.

No one is above the law not even elected officials. No special laws for elected officials. Congress needs to abide by the same laws as everyone else.

No more pensions, either. They should only be able to collect from what they did prior to becoming a public "servant". Why is it that WE are taking care of THEM for the rest of their lives? Isn't it supposed to be the other way around?

Congress works 3 days a week. Monday and Friday are "travel days". They spend their time trying to stay in office and fundraising for their party. They don't live like a majority of the people they supposedly represent and they really don't want to. Their government benefits follow them - for life - regardless of whether they are in for one term or multiple terms. This includes health benefits - - - - - FOR LIFE....FREE...NO WORRIES. Just like you and me? Sign the peitition!

It is about time those who we place in control of our country accept that they are there at the public's behest and that they should be only equal to those of us who allowed them the position to speak for us.... the Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution should unequivocally be adopted, and be applicable from this point forward for all in government who currently receive special privileges, with no "grandfathering" type exception.

Congressman's pay should equal that of the average American. Base this upon the legal numbers of family members in their family and pay them the average wage for that size of family in this country. When it improves for all theirs improves also. Yea get paid to produce for your constituents they do better you do better. They should be paid no more than the people they supposedly represent! Most are privileged idiots who represent no one but themselves or major campaign contributors. Americans should take back the country from the tyrannical rule of the aristocrat society.
