Politicians created a political class that must be eliminated ASAP. We are only a shadow of a system created by our Founders. Let's get back to basics and preserve the freedom of citizens.

Members of Congress and their staff shouldn't be exempted from any laws. They're ordinary citizens and not a ruling elite with special exemption from the laws they pass.

I am not sure why anyone would not support this for the reasons stated. If it is true that only a few more states need to bring this forward, in order to establish a constitutional convention, we should encourage the move to do so.

It is only right that congress persons should have to follow the same laws as the rest of us. Democracy means that no one is above the law.

I can't believe an amendment must be written for this to occur as it is common sense. There is not one reason I can think of, for congressmen and women not to be held to the same accountability as the citizens of the US.

This should be a given, each member of Congress, and the House, is a citizen of the US, and should not be exempt from its lawstill. This Amendment should not even have to be passed, anyone elected to office of this Country is a servant of the people and is not greater then it's people, there for obide by the laws of this Country. If a law is passed it pertains to ALL.

I have seen this one since even before obama became "president"(so many issues w that, but NEVER should have been). I want this to happen, and for mando term limits to be implemented as well. This addition of my voice to the petition I execute now, PRIOR TO my forwarding to my contacts, as a means of demonstrating my commitment in a genuine fashion. For those who forward, but never sign on, their participation becomes null and void. Let mine count!

It was wrong from the very beginning !!! Of course everyone should be equal to the law regardless of his/her position or status. It is hard to believe we have such kind of exception in our constitution! Then what kind of democracy are we talking about ? Just for senators and reps ? What the hell is this?
