Scrap The Cap
This petition resolves to eliminate the cap on income regarding Social Security Payments. Currently, any wages or earnings above $250,000 are exempt from Social Security payments. This petition seeks to remove that cap so that every American pays into Social Security for every dollar he or she earns. This policy would help to ensure the solvency of the Social Security program for decades to come and would allow for a safety net for our most vulnerable seniors.
