Please block the appointment of Myron Ebell as head of the EPA
The American Association for the Advancement of Science, the world's largest multidisciplinary scientific society and a leading publisher of cutting-edge research through its Science family of journals, with individual members in more than 91 countries around the globe, has concluded that climate change is real, and a threat to our planet. Leaders from major religions agree, including Pope Francis and have asked for serious efforts to address this. Our children and grandchildren's future depends on taking action NOW. Myron Ebell, is not an appropriate choice as the head of the US Department of Environmental Protection Agency. He rejects the scientific consensus on climate change, and heads the Competitive Enterprise Institute, which is funded by the coal industry (Murray Energy Corporation). He is completely biased and has a conflict of interest due to his ties to the energy industry which is a major contributor to climate change. He is not able to put the best interests of the American people first, and should not be allowed to head the EPA. The future of our children and grandchildren are at stake.
