Reprising Proposal to Make American Flag Desecration Illegal.
Taking into consideration that we live in a "Free Democracy" under The Bill Of Rights and respect the authority of the The First Amendment to the United States Constitution Prohibits the making of any Law Respecting an Establishment of Religion, Ensuring that there is No Prohibition on the Free Exercise of Religion, Abridging the Freedom of Speech, Infringing on the Freedom of the Press, Interfering with the Right to Peaceably Assemble, or Prohibiting the Petitioning for a Governmental Redress of Grievances.
We realize when broken down, it simply means that "All Americans" have the right to Free Speech, Free Expression, Freedom to Worship in the way you choose, and Free to Gather Together "Within The Law and Outside of Criminal Threat, sometimes known as the Terrorist Threat, Malicious Harassment, or by other terms, occurs when someone threatens to kill or physically harm someone else. "
We are also aware that The First Amendment includes anti-American Ideologist, Racist Groups, anti-Orthodoxy, ect. and that they still have the Right to Express in Peaceful Assembly. to do what they do regardless how Unethical and Unprofessional it is to us, who incidentally, are also "We The People" that have our own Traditional, Conservative, Patriotic Convictions and display Grievance.
We also are aware that Criminal penalties for certain acts of desecration to the flag were contained in Title 18 of the United States Code prior to 1989. The Supreme Court decision in Texas v. Johnson; June 21, 1989, held the statute unconstitutional. This statute was amended when the Flag Protection Act of 1989 (Oct. 28, 1989) imposed a fine and/or up to I year in prison for knowingly mutilating, defacing, physically defiling, maintaining on the floor or trampling upon any flag of the United States. The Flag Protection Act of 1989 was struck down by the Supreme Court decision, United States vs. Eichman, decided on June 11, 1990.
We feel that in the current state of our Nation which has never experienced so much division. "We/I" adhering to this petition, have all personally experienced , Hate Crimes, Oppressive Persecutions, and Discrimination, in some form, yet here we all are, Patriotic Americans in Unity for The Preservation of The Bill Of Rights Constitutional Amendments that allow us all to be the most Democratic Free Nation on Earth! But now we have "Misconstrued Ideologies" with Politically Correct, Safe Space, Trigger Warnings from Uneducated, Unaware young folks who Confuse and Associate Equality with Absolute Socialism.
We do not feel that by Making Flag Desecration Illegal that it will alter the Constitutional First Amendment, thus resulting in a slow creation of an unnoticeable, regulatory system, integrating into our society, that would in time become Totalitarianism or Authoritarian Rule with Censorship, by Dictatorship, but in fact, "We Do Feel" however, that it is the onslaught of Progressive, Extremist, Liberalism that will cause this effect from the ever diminishing American Values, of our Traditions, Patriotism, and the very First Amendment that also allows us to participate and practice "Our Free Speech and Religious Freedom".
As an example, They want to end School Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance for those who opposed it, but soon we may not be able to say "Our Prayers and the Pledge Allegiance at all it seems?" Or at least somewhere else on school grounds for those of us who want our kids raised on morals and principles and to feel they can do so without being oppressed? That's why we escaped the King Of England's Dictatorship, That's why we created The Bill Of Rights Constitutional Amendments.
By comparison, the courts generally have held since the 1940s that the Pledge of Allegiance is permissible, provided that it is voluntary. Nonetheless, some individuals have brought lawsuits in the 2000s, arguing that the Pledge violates the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution because the Pledge contains the phrase "Under God."
So then where is the Compromise for us? True Christians know that God 's Most Crucial Teachings is Love, Forgiveness, Tolerance and Acceptance , and True Americans know that "We The People" is all Inclusive, even those who Hate and Defile Our Democracy, that display their ideologies even though we as Patriots Strongly Object!!
We feel that this ongoing lack of, statesmanlike love for our country and continued lack of respect for Family Values and Religious Freedom is creating Poor Moral, Unity, Enthusiasm, Sense of Duty and Service and Willingness to stand against those who oppose and threaten our Democratic way of life and eagerly take a stance for readiness and prepared to defend our Great Nation just as the Men and Women Soldiers of our Military, who Unconditionally through Unselfish Acts, Risk Their Lives to Protect, Preserve and Defend our Liberty.
Not since WW2 have we all set aside our differences to join together collectively in Unity with our Allies as an Eclectic but Common Force to Defeat a Global Genocidal Evil. Yes, it is true that Women, Minorities and Gays were not acknowledged as much or not at all until the past decades. But the same Women, Minorities and Gays Enlisted Willingly , on their own accord from a Instinctive Call Of Duty, to fight for our Democracy, yet they all volunteered for Life, Liberty or Death.
Today we are once again faced with yet another Genocidal Evil, yet, we are so Divided with Self Interest and Personal Agendas and our relations with our Foreign Allies is not as visibly conjoined ,even though we all face the same threat.
We would like you to review the protests during the Vietnam War era, when the United States 90th Congress enacted Public Law 90-381 (82 Stat. 291), later codified as 18 U.S.C. 700, et. seq., and better known as the Flag Protection Act of 1968 and reprise that act and extend it across the country to all states.
There seems to be No Compromise. You can choose to participate or not, but Burning The American Flag only shows disrespect and teaching future generations the vulnerability and separation of our society as a nation. Even the Vietnam War Protest, where they were spitting on our soldiers returning home from war, even then it was never on such a great scale as the "Dishonor" we are witnessing today.
We adamantly feel compelled to return to articles of Faith, Creed and Principles of 'United We Stand, Divided We Fall, and Stop focusing on Individualism that is Destroying our Strengths as Leaders Of The World. Please take this into consideration so we can begin to heal our nation before it's too late, so we can give our children a better sense of security and pride.
