This is a very expensive school, that I spent a lot of money going to for BSN. To find out this school is NOT accredited is heartbreaking.

I went to become a medical coder/biller. They told me I had to go through their healthcare administration degree program. Now here I am with no job I a healthcare facility, an AA in HCAD, almost done with my BS (at another school), but I am out of financial aid bc of UoP screwing me out of about $40k in student loans and can't compete my last few classes. Oh, come to find out that I didn't need a degree. Just a certificate. I was told the courses I took would certify me

This is important! Please do something to help us. My phone rings non-stop. I was pushed into taking classes even when my health became an issue. I tried to take a break and my counselor kept pushing. Next thing I know I have assignmentsfor classes I didn't need to be in. I was very sick and the added stress didn't help. I tried to do them but I could not keep up with everything going on. I would try to contact teachers when I didn't understand what they were expecting on an assignment and get no return calls or messages. When I did something wrong they said I should have asked for help(assignment due on Sunday started seking help on Tuesday ) sooner. It was crazy and stressful. I wanted so much to be an example to my kids. Later on I tried to check out other schools but found out my credit's would NOT transfer. I was disheartened by all of it. Now my husband is disabled from an accident and I am a school bus drive in a rural community. We struggle to keep the lights on at times, but my phone still rings for student loans. Loans for an education that would be useless. This whole experience is horrible. When my son graduateD from high school he wanted to go to college but was terrified because of what I went through with UoP. I feel like UoP has caused too much damage. PLEASE HELP!

I owe over $40,000.00 in student loan debt and every job I have applied for won't even give me the opportunity to interview for positions that require skills & a "Bachelor's Degree", which I have. The only job I have been able to attain with this "degree" is a front desk position at a private school making less than I made without a degree!!! I took it hoping to get my foot in the door only to have my position eliminated at the end of the school year.

I was a struggling single mother who had to drop out of an accredited college because I could not afford it. I know how important an education is, neither of my parents completed high school. I am massively in debt with a school I attended for just ONE year and could NEVER find a job relating to the degree I obtained. Looking back, I am ashamed that I was so easily taken in but they know all the right things to say to those who are at rock bottom and want nothing more than to learn so that they can provide a better life for their family. All the right lies and false stories of success. If anything, please shut that cesspool of broken dreams down.

I signed on for was an Associates in business majoring in Human Resources, what I am getting is an Associates in Arts with a focus on business. I am a single parent with a learning disability and they took advantage of that by assuring me that all the classes I was taking was for degree in Human Resources!

I attended the University of Phoenix for two years. In those two years, I received maybe 12 credits as a full time student. The school is a fraud. They were informed I was pregnant and needed a leave of absence due to being sick during the whole pregnancy. They continued to put me in courses and charged me for those courses knowing I could not attend them. At the time, I didn't think to call on title ix, but upon withdrawing, I did inform them that I would be taking them to court, only problem is, like most, I can't afford to take them to court. All of my financial aid was returned so I have a balance with the school when it was their faults for continuing to put me in classes after I requested to be put on leave of absence. Then they told me I had to wait 6 months to attend another class because I wouldn't have enough financial aid to cover my classes. To top that off, as I got closer to the 6 month period, they told me I couldn't start classes because I had a balance. They didn't inform me of this until 4 maybe 5 months into the 6 month period.

I was told it was an Accredited establishment! I was an Apollo and UoP student from Oct-2009 through Oct-2013. I've accrued over $62,000!!!! Now, with a degree from an online college, that encouraged me to join, and persuaded me to take out max Federal loans,it is basically a laughing stock of a school. I'm embarrassed that I fell for such a thing; I can't even work because I make NOWHERE near what I would need to pay what Nelnet is asking me to pay. I'm privileged to have a hard working husband, who makes us float on a single income, and provide for our two children. The best job in the world is being a Stay-at-home-Mom!!!

I attended UoP from 2008 to about 2010. I was enrolled for my Associates degree in Business Management. Throughout my enrollment, my "mentor/advisor" changed several times & I sidnt think anything odd of it until after the issues I've had with yhem. Everything seemed fine until the end of the 1st semester of my 2nd year. I inquired about graduation information since no one had contacted me. I was told that I was not graduating because 1) I'd somehow gotten a 'D' in one of my classes, & was going to be suspended/or probation because of it and 2) I was enrolled for my Bachelors degree-not my associates degree. I asked her how-she didn't know & i needed to call my counselor/mentor person. Tried-to call them no answer. I sent emails no response. A few weeks (about a month or so) later, I get a letter in the mail stating that my payments for my student loans are due. STUDENT LOANS!? What student loans? I only signed up for grants & financial aid & was adamant about not wanting loans. I was told financial aid was covering it. I tried to call the numbers I had & still received no answer. I decided to go to the campus (which was actually an office building) to try & talk to someone & the school was gone. The building was empty. Closed. Shutdown & up for sale/lease. Its been almost 10 years & I have know idea how to get this corrected. This school has ruined my credit, I have no degree & no clue what to do.

Prepared a resource fee waiver 5 months before I ran out of Post 911 GI/Bill, have a contract to keep FAFSA funding on hold until my balance is paid. Receive diploma and find out I am sent to collections over unpaid courses ($1,252). I even received multiple graduation emails, and financial emails from the school saying everything was good.

I went o UoP from 2007 -2010 for a BS in Criminal Justice Administration. I was told UoP was accredited by multiple entities and a degree from them would be like a degree from any brick and mortar school. That was a lie. I sustained an injury while on duty and I was forced to retire. I have tried to obtain numerous positions but most of the companies just look at UoP and say thanks but no thanks. Now, I'm stuck with a loan and nothing to show for it.

When I asked what tuition would be my adviser just said that the grants and loans would cover it - never gave me amount. I repeatedly called my financial adviser too and no concrete answer. I was desperate to get a degree so that I would have credibility not $60,000 in debt for 60 credits!

I am over $80,000 in student loan debt $52,000 of which I have defaulted in and my pay check is now being garnished. I have also been submitting my resume to companies seeking employees with a Bachelor's degree and the work experience I have. I feel my degree and real world experience is being overlooked because I went to UoP. I really wish I would have skipped on going to this so called school.

I attended University of Phoenix for a degree in Technical Communications. After getting my associate's degree I realized that employers do not consider them to be a valid education even though they claim to be accredited. I am left with over $25,000 in debt and working for $13.50 an hour. To add insult to injury, they claim I owe THEM money after I quit at the beginning of my bachelor's degree and did not take the classes. I don't have the money to get a lawyer to fight them, so they are able to also damage my credit score. It is terrible what they are allowed to do to our economy by tricking people for profit.
