Stop the Sale & Transfer of Federal Lands to Las Vegas, Clark Co, NV to Save Water

There is not enough water to sustain continued expansion and development of Las Vegas and surround area

Lake Meade water levels are at an all time low. Rather than stopping their expansion, Las Vegas is purchasing land from the federal government and expanding; this expansion demands even more water which is simply not available. Las Vegas is now planning to pump groundwater from northern Nevada to Las Vegas to facilitate the continued expansion and development of Clark County, NV. This pumping of water will destroy fragile habitats in northern Nevada and western Utah; just like similar habitats were destroyed in California to substantiate the growth of Los Angeles--that should be a lesson already learned and never repeated. It does not matter if the transfer of the water is unethical or immoral, as long as it is legal, Las Vegas is going to do it. If the federal government would simply quit transferring federal land to Las Vegas and Clark County, NV, the expansion would stop and there would be no need to transfer water to Las Vegas thus solving the problem. Congress can prevent a future environmental disaster by simply banning all land sales and transfers to Las Vegas, Clark County, NV.
