If an inmate has showed no reason to be a nuisance to society ; why not view his/hers parole earler?

It is horrific the way prisoners are moved so far from their families; to make it hard on their loved ones and children to visit them is an insult to the innocent! Bringing back parole for offenders is long over due!

I believe the time is too harsh for non violent offenders. It sickens me that a man who molests a child will get less time than a non violent drug offender. It sickens me that a man who murders someone will get less time than a non violent drug offender. So let me get this straight, you have people serving hard time for marijuana, but as soon as the government found a way to tax it, its medical marijuana? Just another example of the unjust realities of the system. How is it ok to get less time for cocaine than crack? Aren't they both drugs? What's the difference between marijuana and cocaine? Aren't they both drugs? But now many states legalized marijuana, and people get 20 years for selling cocaine. RIDICULOUS!! Please give these non violent men probation, or home confinement for their involvement in drugs. Nine times out of ten, once the government finds a way to tax cocaine, it will be legal too, just as alcohol, and marijuana. That will be a slap in the face for the many men and women who served 15-20 years for cocaine violations, but, what can you say. I believe they should be ordered to go to drug programs, do community service to see the effect of drugs on the community, and home confinement, not 30 years of their life gone. They will be more productive in the community rather than absent in the homes of many children.

The main reason I feel there should be parole is because all though the justice system is great. there are people that was framed or just plan ole did not do it. I just did ten years for something I did not do. went to trial and was found guitly. there was no evidence and the fed DA knew it but still pushed it. thats why there should be Parole.

I think some prisoners should not have the hefty sentences they are given. I believe murderers, rapists, etc should deserve an extended time. Some lesser crimed punishments should be given parole! These prisons are over-crowded and some do not need to be there any longer - they have served their time!
